Suspected car ramming attack in Jerusalem leaves 5 wounded

The suspected attack happened near the busy Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem and came just hours before Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terror.

Five people were wounded in a suspected car ramming attack on Monday in Jerusalem, just hours before Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and terror victims.

The suspected car ramming happened near the busy Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem. Magen David Adom treated a 50-year-old male who was in serious condition, unconscious with multi-trauma injuries, as well as two women in their 30s, both in moderate condition with injuries.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Tzvi Klein said the pedestrians were struck by a car. “Two people are in serious condition and one person sustained moderate injuries. Due to the nature of the incident, United Hatzalah’s Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit is on its way to the scene to treat people suffering from emotional shock,” Klein said.
