Emomali Rahmon Invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Summit of Leaders of Central Asian Countries



The President of Tajikistan noted the importance of the meeting for regional cooperation.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a letter to the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov . The head of state invited the politician to take part in the 5th Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of Central Asian Countries.

Tajikistan will hold the summit on September 14, 2023. Emomali Rahmon noted that the upcoming meeting will accelerate the process of developing cooperation and will contribute to strengthening security and stability in the region.

The President also thanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the warm welcome at the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in Ashgabat in August this year. According to him, the summit gave impetus to the partnership between the republics.

During the 5th Consultative meeting of the leaders of the countries of Central Asia, agreements will be signed in the field of land transport and on general directions of youth policy, a regulation on the council of national coordinators for consultative meetings. In addition, representatives of the republics will adopt a roadmap to support the health and well-being of the inhabitants of the region for 2023-2025.
